JOB TITLE: Social Media Coordinator

CONTRACT TYPE: Secondment, Fixed-term

DEPARTMENT: Marketing and Communications

LOCATION: KSA


PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Our client is seeking a digitally fluent and highly organised Social Media Coordinator (Secondee) to support the planning, execution, and management of their social media presence in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and our external agency partners. This interim secondee will serve as the bridge between internal teams and the social media agency, managing daily workflows such as content approvals, publishing, reporting, and community engagement. A key aspect of the role also includes knowledge transfer to newly hired internal team members, enabling sustainable in-house capability development for the social media workstream.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Internal Coordination & Approvals: Manage the end-to-end process of gathering content inputs and securing approvals across departments, ensuring timely delivery to the agency.
  • Publishing: Oversee or directly handle the publishing of content across social platforms in both English and Arabic, ensuring accuracy and alignment with brand tone and calendar schedules.
  • Community Management (ENG & ARA): Monitor platform engagement, respond to comments and messages in both English and Arabic, and escalate issues, risks, or sentiment shifts to the appropriate internal contacts.
  • Agency Briefing: Prepare clear, concise briefs for the social media agency, consolidating internal input and aligning on campaign goals, timelines, and content expectations.
  • Performance Reporting: Review and consolidate monthly performance reports, validate key metrics, and provide internal feedback to inform optimisations.
  • Platform Oversight: Maintain up-to-date access credentials and platform hygiene (bios, links, profile visuals), ensuring consistency and security across all channels.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Actively support the onboarding and upskilling of new internal hires by sharing tools, workflows, best practices, and platform insights.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a social media, communications, or marketing coordination role
  • Experience working with or managing agency partners is highly desirable
  • Fluent in English and Arabic
  • Competence in reviewing analytics and understanding performance metrics (experience with platforms like Meta Business Suite or Sprout Social / Brandwatch is an advantage)
