The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Project Controller - Reporting Engineer with a proven track record in providing limited cost, planning, scheduling and risk assessment support to Wood assignments / project teams and clients, typically on smaller projects without dedicated project control discipline teams. Runs selected required project controls systems and tools to enable the successful management and reporting of the project costs, schedule and risk on projects and specific assignments. Acts as one of the project / assignment focal points for some matters relating to project costs, schedules, and risk for a high-profile client.

The Key Objectives For This Role Are

  • Tracking milestones, schedules, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
  • Preparing detailed reports on project status, cost variances, and resource utilization.
  • Monitoring financial aspects of the project, ensuring expenditures align with forecasts.
  • Providing clear and concise updates to project managers and teams.
  • Identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to minimize impact

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Reporting of planned v s actual progress figures
  • Support the collection of weekly progress figures from the project team and any 3rd party contractors
  • Reporting against the project critical path
  • Assist with reporting of project costs and schedule data
  • Contribute to weekly and monthly project cost and planning status reports
  • Review and be familiar with the Project Work Breakdown Structure for specific scopes of work
  • Study and understand all relevant documents pertaining to the preparation of plans and schedules

Typically requires ISCED level 6 (Bachelors) Degree in a relevant technical or business discipline (or equivalent gained through relevant vocational training and/or industry experience)

Knowledge, Skills, And Experience

  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience, not necessarily in estimating.
  • Basic understanding of project management principles and techniques
  • Basic understanding of Cost Management, Change Control, Planning & Risk Analysis & Management
  • Good skills in Microsoft Word and very good skills in Microsoft Excel Personal Attributes
  • Demonstrates commitment to Wood Values, Visions & Behaviours
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective organization & planning skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
