Roles & Responsibilities

Job Overview:

  • Manage site logistics, including material delivery, equipment usage, and waste management to optimize workflow.
  • Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals.
  • Implement safety protocols and conduct safety audits to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and report on financial performance to prevent cost overruns.
  • Facilitate communication between engineers, laborers, and management to streamline operations and resolve conflicts.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, progress reports, and variations to keep all parties informed.
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation for project bids, tenders, and contractual agreements.
  • Oversee daily construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project schedules and specifications.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections and coordinate with subcontractors to maintain high standards of work.
  • Prepare and review engineering plans, drawings, and specifications, identifying potential issues before they arise.

As a Site Engineer (Structural and Architect), you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process and ensuring that all structural and architectural elements of the project are executed according to the design plans and specifications. You will work closely with the project manager and other team members to ensure the timely completion of the project while adhering to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • - Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure that construction is carried out according to the design plans and specifications.
  • - Coordinate with the project manager, architects, and other team members to resolve any design or construction issues.
  • - Prepare and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications for structural and architectural elements.
  • - Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • - Monitor and manage project budgets and timelines.
  • - Conduct quality control inspections to ensure that workmanship and materials meet the required standards.
  • - Prepare and submit progress reports to the project manager.
  • - Manage and supervise a team of construction workers and subcontractors.
  • - Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team.
  • - Attend project meetings and communicate project updates to stakeholders.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction or civil engineering projects, demonstrating progressive responsibility.
  • Professional certification such as PMP or LEED is highly desirable, showcasing commitment to industry standards.
  • Experience with specific construction software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) is essential for effective project execution.
  • Fluent in English, with additional languages considered an asset, especially in diverse work environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address onsite challenges effectively and promptly.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale projects with a focus on quality, safety, and timely delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including outdoor conditions and varying weather.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, with a proactive approach to team management and conflict resolution.
  • - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the UAE.
  • - Strong knowledge of structural and architectural design principles and building codes.
  • - Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software.
  • - Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • - Valid UAE driving license.
