Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections to ensure electrical installations meet design specifications and safety standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and contractors to develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of electrical components.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including project plans, specifications, and reports to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Manage electrical procurement processes, including sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery to the site.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in real-time, minimizing downtime and ensuring project continuity.
- Oversee the commissioning of electrical systems, testing, and validation to guarantee operational efficiency.
- Implement quality control measures on site, conducting regular audits to ensure adherence to safety and performance standards.
- Train and supervise junior engineers and site personnel on electrical best practices and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery and resolve inter-disciplinary conflicts.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements to drive continuous improvement in electrical practices.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, ensuring a strong foundational knowledge of electrical principles.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a construction or engineering environment, demonstrating a solid track record in site management.
- Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent, showcasing commitment to professional standards and ethical practice.
- Experience with international codes and standards, particularly in the oil, gas, or construction sectors, to ensure compliance and safety.
- Fluency in English, with additional proficiency in local languages preferred for effective communication with diverse teams.
- Strong technical skills in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP) and project management tools for efficient workflow.
- Proven ability to lead teams, with exceptional interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and motivate site personnel.
- Detail-oriented mindset, capable of identifying potential issues before they escalate, ensuring smooth project execution.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environmental conditions, reflecting the demands of a construction site.
- Cultural awareness and adaptability, particularly in international project environments, to navigate diverse work cultures effectively.
