Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities


  • Oversee and manage all mechanical construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project specifications, drawings, and quality standards for oil and gas projects.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services, minimizing project delays.
  • Develop and implement site-specific construction plans, method statements, and risk assessments, ensuring safe work practices and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring adherence to the approved budget and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to identify and resolve any construction deficiencies, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
  • Manage and supervise the mechanical construction team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure optimal team performance.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, documenting construction activities, progress, and any issues or challenges encountered.
  • Liaise with the client, project managers, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues, address concerns, and ensure effective communication throughout the project.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all construction activities, including as-built drawings, material certifications, and inspection records.
  • Champion a culture of safety and environmental responsibility, ensuring all construction activities are conducted in a safe and sustainable manner.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in mechanical construction management within the oil and gas industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale mechanical construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of oil and gas construction standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of construction professionals.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Possession of relevant certifications, such as PMP or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality, with a proactive approach to risk management.
