Shopify Web Developer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Shopify Web Developer to design, develop, and maintain our e-commerce websites. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Shopify (including Liquid), front-end development, and third-party app integrations. You will be responsible for enhancing user experience, optimizing website performance, and ensuring seamless functionality to support our online business growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify websites, themes, and templates.
  • Implement responsive design and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
  • Customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Integrate third-party applications, APIs, and payment gateways.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to website performance, speed optimization, and functionality.
  • Collaborate with designers, marketers, and product teams to implement new features.
  • Optimize SEO and website analytics setup (Google Analytics, Tag Manager, etc.).
  • Stay updated with Shopify platform updates, industry best practices, and e-commerce trends.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with online transaction standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience as a Shopify Developer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Shopify, Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.
  • Experience with Shopify APIs, app integrations, and third-party plug-ins.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and web performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with UI/UX design principles.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Shopify Plus.
  • Knowledge of React, Vue.js, or other front-end frameworks.
  • Familiarity with headless commerce solutions.
  • Previous experience in retail / e-commerce industry.
