Duties & Responsibilities:

• Plans, installs, configures, upgrades, patches, and manages servers as well as troubleshoots problems and issues related to the configuration of servers.
• Monitors the utilization of servers to detect potential errors or problems and provides necessary prevention guidelines. Monitor servers to determine upgrade requirements and general utilization issues.
• Research, recommend, deploy, and maintain IT service solutions.
• Maintains server documentation, including rack elevations, server configurations, and other related materials.
• Maintains and manages physical and virtual server resources and utilization, including capacity planning.
• Responsible for managing backup and restore processes, including backup validation.
• Configures servers following company best practices and company policies and procedures.
• Perform testing of new operating system software and anti-virus protection software prior to implementation.
• Responsible for server patch management activities, maintaining operating system and database versions.
• Manages Active Directory in a privileged Administrator position.
• Assists with the management and development of Group Policies for the company.
• Collaborates with other team members to address information security.
• Support vendor or supplier applications systems in a server environment.
• Take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues.
• Respond efficiently to inquiries external/internal and effectively resolve any hardware and/or software problems. Maintain a log of software and hardware problems detected.
• Allocate complex calls to appropriate IT Support members and/or partners.
• Participate and assist in implementing the Knowledge Management Process.
• Provide backup support to other technical positions.
• Disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Provide support for data center operations.
• installing public and local certificates on various systems.
• Managing Antivirus in an enterprise.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

• Sc degree in Computer Science or relevant field
• Microsoft windows server and operating system-related certificates.
• Linux operating system-related certificates.

Skills and Competencies:

• 4-5 or more years experience as Server and Systems administrator
• Excellent experience using different Hypervisors Mainly using (Hyper-V and VMware vSphere)
• Virtual clustering and troubleshooting experience with Hyper-V and VMware.
• Dell systems and PowerEdge servers and Dell VxRial servers.
• MS Windows Server Administration, Active Directory, IIS, DNS, DHCP, GPO.
• Linux OS Administration.
• MS SQL Administration.
• Antivirus/Antispam Software.
• Server Migrations and Upgrades
• Back-up and Disaster Recovery
• Office Suite
• Experience with SAN and virtualization.
• Microsoft SQL knowledge.
