Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults in vehicles
• Supervise and guide junior technicians and mechanics
• Perform advanced repairs and overhauls of engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
• Use diagnostic tools and scanners to identify vehicle issues
• Ensure quality control of all repair and maintenance work
• Coordinate with service advisors to explain technical issues to customers
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and workshop procedures
• Conduct road tests before and after repairs
• Monitor spare parts usage and report requirements
• Stay updated on new automotive technologies and manufacturer guidelines
• Handle customer complaints related to technical issues when required
• Meet productivity, turnaround time, and service quality targets
Desired Candidate Profile
• Diploma / ITI / Degree in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in automobile repair and maintenance
• Strong knowledge of engine systems, transmission, braking, suspension, and electrical systems • Experience in advanced diagnostics using scan tools and OBD systems
• Ability to lead and mentor junior technicians
• Familiar with manufacturer service standards and workshop safety practices
• Capable of handling complex fault diagnosis and critical repairs
• Good understanding of customer service and quality assurance
• Basic computer skills for job cards, service reports, and CRM systems
• Willingness to learn new automotive technologies (BS6, hybrid, EV – preferred)
• Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced workshop environment
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Valid driving license (preferred).
