Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers (Windows/Linux).
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal uptime.
  • Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and user accounts.
  • Perform regular backups and recovery operations.
  • Apply operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
  • Maintain and monitor internal infrastructure including firewalls, switches, and routers.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices, including antivirus and intrusion detection systems.
  • Provide support for hardware and software issues reported by users.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Assist in planning and executing IT infrastructure projects and upgrades.
  • Respond to and resolve service outages and other problems in a timely manner.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4+ years of experience in system administration or similar IT role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux systems.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
  • Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN, etc.).
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery tools.
  • Knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, Bash, etc.) is a plus.
  • Certifications such as MCSA, CompTIA Server+, or RHCSA are a plus.
