Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • SAP PP (Production Planning)
  • Lead requirement workshops, solution design, and E2E implementations.
  • Configure PP modules: Work Centers, Routing, BOMs, MRP, Capacity Planning, Shop Floor Control.
  • Manage discrete, repetitive, and process manufacturing scenarios.
  • Oversee full production lifecycle: order creation, scheduling, execution, confirmation, variance analysis & settlement.
  • Optimize MRP, supply demand planning, long-term capacity, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure seamless integration with MM, SD, CO, PM & EWM.
  • SAP QM (Quality Management)
  • Design and implement QM processes for procurement, in-process & final inspection.
  • Configure master data: Inspection Plans, MICs, Sampling Procedures, Catalogs.
  • Implement CAPA, audit management, non-conformance and complaint handling.
  • Drive quality compliance with strong integration across PP, MM, SD & MES.
  • MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
  • Lead MES implementations (SAP ME/MII, Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FactoryTalk, etc.).
  • Integrate SAP PP/QM with MES for real-time production execution, OEE, WIP tracking, and labor management.
  • Map shop-floor workflows, traceability requirements & Industry 4.0 integrations.
  • Collaborate with automation/IoT teams for predictive analytics and manufacturing visibility.
  • Cross-Domain Manufacturing Leadership
  • Act as a functional bridge between Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality & Warehousing.
  • Align and streamline the full value chain: Forecasting Planning Production Quality Warehousing Dispatch.
  • Support S&OP, production scheduling, material flow optimization, and lead time reduction initiatives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, TPM & Industry 4.0.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10 15 years experience in SAP PP/QM with strong MES exposure.
  • Minimum 2 3 full-cycle SAP implementations (at least one S/4HANA).
  • Strong integration: MM, SD, WM/EWM, CO, PM, PP-PI.
  • Experience with real-time production tracking, IoT, and shop-floor automation.
  • Strong documentation skills: FS, design blueprints, UAT support.
  • Excellent communication, leadership & stakeholder management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP PP/QM Certifications (ECC or S/4HANA).
  • Experience with S/4HANA Fiori, IBP, OEE, digital twins, IIoT.
  • Lean Six Sigma / APICS CPIM / CSCP certifications are a plus.

Education

  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial / Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Computer Science.
  • MBA in Operations / Supply Chain is an added advantage./li>
