Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
A Sales Consultant supports sales representatives in securing customer deals. In addition, they are responsible for responding to customer queries, checking stock availability, processing deliveries, issuing invoices to clients, and maintaining records and databases.
Job Responsibilities
1. Sales Order Processing
- Communicate with customers via email and telephone to provide product/pricing information, order status, and invoice delivery status.
- Issue sales orders and invoices in the Oracle system to reserve available stock, or request procurement for unavailable materials.
- Propose alternative or equivalent materials from stock for received projects/orders.
- Process all export documents to facilitate smooth material delivery.
- Liaise with the logistics department to ensure timely deliveries based on client/project priorities.
2. Customer Support
- Register new customers and update existing customer profiles in the Oracle portal.
- Update external customers on the progress of their purchase order deliveries.
- Receive customer feedback/complaints, forward to the concerned teams, and follow up on progress.
- Submit invoices to customers for acknowledgment and payment.
- Communicate work progress of projects/orders to internal stakeholders.
3. Reporting
- Create and update weekly/monthly sales reports by sales manager/customer.
- Record invoice submissions to monitor and control payment progress.
- Monitor and control order execution processes.
4. Learning & Development
- Enhance knowledge of lighting technical details, manufacturers, and applications.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Desired Candidate Profile
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
Work Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in handling customer queries and order management.
Competencies & Skills:
- Knowledge of Order Processing and generating sales reports.
- Experience with Oracle EBS.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
Language
- Ability to communicate in Arabic (preferred).
