Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of quantity surveying for reinforced concrete projects, ensuring accurate cost estimation and management.
- Manage and mentor junior quantity surveyors, fostering professional development within the team.
- Prepare detailed bills of quantities and cost estimates for RC works, including materials and labor.
- Conduct effective contract administration and control, including valuation of work in progress, overseeing contractual claims, and managing disputes.
- Analyze project costs and performance to maintain budgetary controls and report on project financial status.
- Engage with project teams to conduct site visits and assessments, ensuring compliance with the planned scope and budget.
- Implement value engineering initiatives to optimize costs and enhance project delivery efficiency.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of solid experience in quantity surveying, specifically in reinforced concrete projects.
- Professional accreditation (e.g., MRICS, MQuantSurv) is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes related to RC structures, including specific materials and methodologies.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to manage relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Proficient in using cost management software and understanding construction contracts.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within tight timelines.
