Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
· Review / recommend the contractor’s applications (i.e. advance payment, performance security, insurance, guarantee, etc.).
· Review contract documents, contract preliminaries breakdown.
· Verification of the Contractor’s progress interim applications, valuation of work in place and materials delivered to the sites, review and advice on contractual matters for the variations and claims, etc.
· Verification of Contractor’s variations (Change Orders / Variation Orders) and claims.
· Schedule of Rates or Bills of Quantities review & approvals for the QS.
· Follow up with the Project Manager for the Extension of Time, Penalty.
· Preliminary Cost Estimate periodical report.
· Advise the Project Manager / Resident Engineer on Consultant’s Variation Claim.
· Review / recommend the pre and final account statement, discharge statement.
· Perform any commercial task that may requested by site / office management.
· Actively engage in implementation of Integrated Management System (QMS, EMS and OHSAS).
· Carry out such activities as directed by superior from time to time.
· Adhere to UAE rules and regulations.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying or a related field
- At least 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, 5 years in the UAE with a track record of successful project delivery
- Strong technical skills, with experience in managing large-scale construction projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with project managers, contractors, and clients
- Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as Excel and project management software
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, such as building codes and safety standards
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
