Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and execute the integrated PR strategy (corporate, destination, lifestyle, and hospitality).
  • Lead media relations: develop story angles, pitch to tier-1 outlets, manage interviews, and serve as spokesperson when needed.
  • Oversee press office operations: press releases, media kits, FAQs, talking points, bios, and Q&As.
  • Manage reputation & issues/crisis communications: scenarios, holding statements, rapid response, and monitoring.
  • Drive thought leadership for executives: op-eds, panels, speaker opportunities, awards.
  • Orchestrate PR activations and events: FAM trips, launches, partnerships, and community initiatives.
  • Align with digital & content teams on social storytelling and always-on coverage.
  • Establish measurement framework (share of voice, sentiment, reach, message pull-through) and report PR ROI.
  • Manage PR budget, agencies, and vendor partners; negotiate deliverables and SLAs.
  • Coach and develop the PR team; foster strong collaboration with Marketing, Destination Operations, and HR (internal comms).

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
  • 10 12 years of progressive PR/communications experience (agency and/or in-house), including team leadership.
  • Proven media network across Egypt and the region; experience with lifestyle/travel/hospitality is a plus.
  • Strong crisis/issue management track record and executive counseling skills.
  • Exceptional writing (Arabic & English) and storytelling; confident spokesperson.
  • Data-driven mindset with comfort in media monitoring and analytics tools.
