Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

We envisage success in this role to include:

Experience in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (EIA) over a wide range of infrastructure, industrial projects, masterplans, etc.
Having good understanding and experience of applying environmental requirements from local Portuguese legislation
in EIA studies and other environmental related studies.
Understanding and experience of applying environmental safeguards of international finance institutions such as the World Bank Group is beneficial.
Delivering high quality environmental reports to governmental and private clients.
Planning or conducting field work involving environmental sampling and monitoring (air, noise, waste, ecology, etc.) is beneficial.
Reviewing tenders, writing proposals and coordinate with other divisions in cross discipline bids.
Working closely with engineering specialists and other experts.
Reviewing complex documents, summaries and present key issues in a clear and concise way.
Client facing experience in meetings and presentations.
Ability to travel.
Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
Able to meet challenging budgets and timescales.
Work alongside a multidisciplinary team and in a multicultural environment.
 


Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include a minimum of 10 years’ experience partnered with a BEng/MSc in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Management with EIA development and deliver.
