Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and supervise daily production activities to meet output, quality, and cost targets.

Monitor and analyze production KPIs (OEE, downtime, waste, cycle time).

Ensure timely completion of production orders as per customer requirements.

Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions for continuous improvement.

Optimize machine settings and raw material usage to reduce waste and increase yield.

Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and corrective maintenance of bag-making machines (e.g., paper roll-fed machines, handle-making units).

Recommend upgrades or replacements of machinery to improve efficiency.

Work with the QC team to maintain product quality as per industry standards and client specifications.

Implement corrective actions for quality issues.

Train operators on quality control processes and standards.

Lead, coach, and train production operators and junior engineers.

Allocate resources and manpower effectively.

Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.

Enforce health and safety protocols across the production floor.

Ensure compliance with environmental and industry regulations related to paper manufacturing and waste management.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Production Engineering or related field.

Minimum 5 7 years of experience in a paper bag or similar packaging manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of paper bag manufacturing machines and processes.

Familiarity with lean manufacturing.

Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, and production software tools.
