Job Summary: The Senior Production Engineer oversees daily shop floor operations, leading and coordinating production processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety. They focus on continuous improvements to reduce operational costs and waste (7Ms) while optimizing workflows and fostering a culture of excellence. Education Requirements: BS/MS in Mechanical/ Manufacturing/ Production/ Automobile/ Industrial engineering or equivalent. Work Experience Requirements: +5 years in the production field. Roles, responsibilities, and authorities: Ensure adherence to the production schedule and assist in resolving issues to maintain efficiency and quality as per management directives. Conduct motion and time studies to identify opportunities for improving assembly line productivity and minimizing inefficiencies. Lead efforts in designing and optimizing assembly stages to meet productivity and quality requirements, aligning with operational goals. Support Kaizen teams in generating and implementing improvement ideas to enhance operational efficiency, quality, and safety. Plan and coordinate manpower requirements to align with production demands, ensuring effective resource allocation. Contribute to the design and implementation of jigs and fixtures tailored to specific production requirements, ensuring operational efficiency. Assess and recommend tools and equipment for the assembly line, ensuring alignment with production needs and objectives. Develop and update production procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve consistency, efficiency, and compliance with safety and quality standards. Support pilot production activities to ensure alignment with design specifications, quality standards, and operational feasibility. Monitor SAP processes, including production orders, rework orders, and unpacking orders, ensuring accurate and timely updates. Create and maintain detailed reports on production performance, operational issues, and improvement initiatives. Participate in safety incident analysis, contributing to root cause identification and implementation of preventive measures to enhance workplace safety. Perform additional tasks assigned by the manager to support operational goals and organizational objectives.
