Senior Principal Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture and development of flight control systems, including control laws, actuation systems, and flight control computers.
• Oversee system integration and testing, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.
• Collaborate with aerodynamicists, systems engineers, and test pilots to translate control strategies into certified, flyable systems.
• Conduct engineering analysis, trade studies, and design optimization for control surfaces and high-lift devices.
• Manage flight control system requirements, documentation, and certification processes.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Support flight test campaigns, including Safety of Flight (SOF) activities and anomaly resolution.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in flight control and avionics.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s or master s degree in aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in flight control systems design and development.
• Strong understanding of aircraft dynamics, control theory, and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, IADS).
• Experience with electro-hydraulic actuation, flight control computers, and remote electronics.
• Proven track record in leading complex aerospace projects and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., FAA, EASA) and certification processes.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with FADEC, mission systems, or autonomous flight technologies.
• Hands-on experience with flight testing and data analysis.
• Knowledge of safety-critical systems and redundancy architectures.
