Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Operate and monitor complex plant equipment, machinery, and control systems to maintain efficient production processes
- Supervise and train junior operators, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure smooth operations
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on plant equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly to maintain continuous plant operations
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality standards
- Analyze production data and generate reports to identify areas for improvement and optimize plant performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, engineering, and quality control, to enhance overall plant efficiency
- Participate in emergency response procedures and implement corrective actions when necessary
- Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in plant operations
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in plant operations, with a proven track record of success
- Advanced knowledge of plant operations, processes, and industrial equipment
- Strong proficiency in operating and maintaining complex industrial machinery and control systems
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure
- In-depth understanding of safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality standards
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents, schematics, and operational manuals
- Experience with computerized control systems.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to train and mentor junior operators
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Relevant industry certifications, such as Certified Plant Operator, are highly desirable
- Knowledge of industrial processes specific to the plant's operations (e.g., oil and gas, petrochemicals, manufacturing)
- Familiarity with local and international safety standards and regulations
- Ability to work in hot climate conditions
