Role Summary
Parsons Corporation is hiring a Senior Planning Engineer in Dubai to manage scheduling, progress forecasting, and coordination for major rail and metro infrastructure projects. The role will focus on rail systems and MEP improvements, ensuring schedules meet contractual obligations, milestones, and quality standards. The engineer will provide planning leadership, delay analysis, and reporting to support timely and efficient delivery of metro upgrades and associated infrastructure.

What You ll Do

* Develop, implement, and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, TILOS, or other tools
* Provide delay and progress analysis for rail and civil works, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements
* Review and approve contractor schedules, identifying risks, delays, and mitigation plans
* Assist in establishing, monitoring, and updating the Master Schedule from design to commissioning
* Generate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and schedule forecasts
* Coordinate closely with contractors planning teams to resolve schedule issues and finalize reports
* Conduct what-if analyses to assess impacts of variations, risks, and testing sequences
* Maintain key registers including claims, risk/events, stakeholder, and interface logs
* Support project managers and stakeholders with clear communication of schedule status and risks
* Ensure all planning and scheduling activities comply with industry standards, contract requirements, and Parsons procedures
* Lead schedule review meetings with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders
* Provide technical input on sequencing, testing, commissioning, and integration for rail systems and MEP works
* Implement best practices for critical path method (CPM) scheduling and project controls

Ideal Profile

* Bachelor s degree in Engineering or a related discipline
* Minimum 10 years of experience in project scheduling, with a strong focus on rail/metro projects
* Expertise in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and related scheduling tools
* Experience with major infrastructure works including viaducts, tunneling, and MEP systems
* Strong background in metro or subway improvement projects, preferably within GCC
* Consultancy experience in large infrastructure projects is highly desirable
* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
