Roles & Responsibilities

Desired Candidate Profile

Manage MSX s networking software and hardware environments on a detailed, systematic, and analytical approach.

Lead the strategic design, planning, and implementation of complex network and security solutions across the entire Fortinet Security Fabric (FortiGate HA, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiWeb, etc.).

Develop, configure, and centrally manage high-impact security features like NGFW policies, advanced VPNs, and application control via FortiManager, ensuring a strict adherence to security best practices.

Systematically analyze, optimize, and tune network configurations and security policies to maximize throughput, ensure low latency, and maintain high availability across all critical services.

Utilize FortiAnalyzer for deep-dive log analysis and proactive threat hunting. Lead the investigation, mitigation, and resolution of security incidents based on FortiGuard intelligence.

Manage the end-to-end lifecycle for Fortinet devices, including regular firmware patching and upgrades.

Optimize network device configurations and security policies for maximum throughput, low latency, and efficient resource utilization.

Manage and maintain the organization's core network infrastructure (routers, switches, load balancers), ensuring service availability and reliability for all internal and external users.

Implement and maintain high-availability (HA) clustering for critical FortiGate devices and develop disaster recovery procedures for the security infrastructure.

Strictly adhere to change control protocols, ensuring all network maintenance and security updates are performed with a focus on minimal disruption to business operations.

Create and maintain up-to-date technical documentation and asset records. Serve as the primary technical expert, collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers to address complex network and security challenges.

Interact with departments to address issues identified within network.

Ensure that all work and changes are performed in such a way as to minimize all disruption to existing business use.

Day-to-day perform network administration, support, configure, maintain and upgrade the organization network devices including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations and ensuring the proper defenses are present for each network resource.

Assist in keeping track of the MSX s networking infrastructure assets and ensure that the infrastructure and data is kept secure at all times.

Work with internal teams and external suppliers for maintaining current infrastructure.

Provides technical support in the development, testing and operation of next generation firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and web application firewalls.

Monitoring network performance to ensure that applications are working properly and efficiently, viewing (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency) and test for weaknesses.

Works closely with other Teams on projects, system support, network monitoring, and other duties as assigned.

Submitting the required reports with all details to the manager when needed.

Identify potential risks within the department's operations, develop plans to mitigate them, and inform the risk department accordingly to prevent recurrence.

Perform any other duties as assigned by the department manager.
