Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and coordinate mechanical shop drawings in accordance with project specifications and international standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, IPC, Egyptian Codes).
  • Develop and validate technical submittals, ensuring compliance with client requirements and project timelines.
  • Collaborate with design, procurement, and site execution teams to resolve technical issues and optimize project delivery.
  • Conduct site inspections and surveys to gather data for schematic design and design development phases.
  • Assist in the preparation of project budgets, material take-offs, and cost estimates for mechanical systems.
  • Review and interpret contract documents, specifications, and client requirements to ensure accurate implementation.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for the selection and approval of mechanical materials and equipment.
  • Support the testing and commissioning process by preparing documentation and providing technical guidance.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all technical office activities, drawings, and correspondence.
  • Ensure all mechanical engineering deliverables meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering is a must
  • 3 to 5 years of proven experience in a technical office role within the MEP or electromechanical contracting sector is a must
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems design, shop drawings, and technical submittals.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in budgeting, cost estimation, and material take-offs.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
