Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Coordinate that standards & procedures, daily operations and planning are in line with the company objectives.
Formulate policies for the departments and manage the integration of the activities to ensure that on-board Safety, Security, Products and Services consistently meet Regulatory and Corporate Standards and the Airline Corporate Objectives.
Manage the safety and security risks to cabin operations, in liaison with the Post Holders for Flight Operations, Safety & Security.
Manage implementation of the Corporate/Strategic Plans and Marketing Brand within the departments to achieve the set objectives.
Under the guidance of Chief Operations Officer, ensure that all processes and procedures are in compliance with the regulatory authority.
Provide effective leadership to install and develop organizational qualities and personnel management, particularly the front-line staff.
Drive and guide the management programmes of personnel planning, skill, appraisal, and career development in order to achieve high level of work and personnel efficiency.
Control the Capital, Operating and Manpower budgets and direct the departmental Managers on measures to be taken to utilize the planned resources to the best advantage of the Airline.
Translate Management and Marketing Objectives in developing cabin crew service strategy, standards and procedures.
Establish policies and standards for cabin crew recruitment and to monitor the performance, image and uniform attitude to ensure that the Cabin Crew meet the criteria set by the company.
Establish procedures and sets standards for Inflight Services.
Coordinate & manage, development and implementation of Image & Uniform standards & procedures, to achieve brand & marketing objectives set by the company.
Work closely with MCC & MGSE
Assign projects for the improvement of cabin appearance and projects which involve cost saving for inflight services.
Attends all senior management meetings /Standard meetings
Monthly meetings are held with cabin crew department team.
Reviews and approves Cabin Crew Operation Manuals.
Ensure that the cabin crew manpower planning meets operational requirements, identifying the ratio of nationality and gender to achieve corporate goal.
Create and maintain a positive work environment with the objective of improving performance and morale, to decrease absenteeism and eliminate resignations.
Direct cabin crew standards that consistently achieve the set corporate goals and maintain Company image.
Effectively manage crisis situations involving the cabin crew community, as appropriate.
Promote teamwork and ensure that individuals in the department carry a sense of personal pride for the company.
Nominate MCC/MGSE to deputize during the absence of SMCC
Appointment, appraisal and management of administrative staff within the department.
In the event of an aircraft accident/major incident, will lead the Cabin Crew Team in accordance with Cabin Crew Department Emergency Response Procedure (CC-18), to minimize the impact on cabin crew lives, property, operations and crew s family.
Prepare and submit the annual department budget
Set annual department KPIs
Desired Candidate Profile
University degree level or equivalent
Minimum 10 years of airline experience with a proven record of leadership, communication and management skills.
Cabin Crew experience would be an added advantage.
Capability to manage diversity.
