Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Help plan and follow long-term maintenance goals for the hospital.
- Support projects to improve hospital buildings and systems.
- Assist in planning and managing the maintenance budget.
- Make sure hospital buildings and systems are in good working condition.
- Ensure all work follows safety rules and hospital standards (IMC).
- Keep records ready for inspections and audits.
- Supervise maintenance staff (technicians and Volunteers).
- Manage work schedules, performance checks, and training for staff.
- Promote safety and make sure all staff follow safety procedures.
- Manage service contracts (e.g., garbage collection, HVAC service).
- Liaise with suppliers to get the best price for services and materials.
- Monitor energy use and suggest ways to save energy.
- Lead the team during emergencies (like power failures or system breakdowns).
- Make sure backup power systems (generators, UPS) are working.
- Keep clear records of all maintenance work, inspections, and equipment.
- Report to management about maintenance progress, risks, and needs.
- Ensure important spare parts are always in stock for smooth hospital operation.
- Help inspect and maintain diesel generators for backup power and Check fuel, oil, battery, and cooling levels for generators.
- Provide maintenance support to other IMC locations when needed.
Desired Candidate Profile
strong>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/strong> /p>
- strong>Diploma degree in mechanical, Electrical, Facilities Management./strong> /li>
- strong>Any other Professional certification will an added value. /strong> /li>
- strong>Minimum 5 years in a managerial role in healthcare facility management or similar. /strong> /li>
- strong>IT knowledge in Microsoft (Ward, Excel) and internet use. /strong> /li>
