The role

The Senior IT Infrastructure and Security Engineer is a critical role responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and security of the organization's IT infrastructure. This position requires a deep understanding of complex IT systems, security best practices, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, and maintain robust and scalable IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, and Microsoft Office365).
• Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation, including network diagrams, configuration standards, and operational procedures.
• Manage and optimize network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
• Implement and maintain security controls to protect the organization's IT infrastructure and data.
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
• Manage and monitor security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection, and SIEM.
• Respond to security incidents and breaches, conducting thorough investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Implement and manage access control systems, ensuring least privilege principles.
• Implement and manage data loss prevention (DLP) and data encryption solutions.
• Provide expert-level support for complex IT infrastructure issues.
• Monitor system performance and availability, and proactively address potential problems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
• Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets.
• Manage and optimize server operating system and database systems.
