Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure timely financial closing in compliance with standards.
  • General Ledger Management
    • Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording and classification of financial transactions.
    • Perform complex account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, intercompany accounts, and balance sheet accounts.
    • Identify and resolve discrepancies in the general ledger promptly.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local accounting standards.
    • Support the Financial Controller in preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial data for audits and regulatory requirements.
  • Month-End & Year-End Close
    • Lead and execute month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
    • Coordinate with other finance team members to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Process Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to streamline general ledger processes and implement best practices.
    • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software to enhance efficiency.
  • Compliance & Internal Controls
    • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
    • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and explanations.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Mentor and provide guidance to junior accountants or other finance staff as needed.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support financial operations and reporting needs.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred, Ex audit firm is highly recommended.
  • 5-7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2-3 years focused on general ledger accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
