Roles & Responsibilities


Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, including revenue, expenses, and budgets, to provide insights into the organization's financial performance.

• Assist in the development of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans by analyzing trends and making recommendations for future financial decisions.

• Analyze financial variances between actual and budgeted figures, investigating reasons behind discrepancies and providing actionable recommendations.

• Develop complex financial models to support decision-making processes, such as forecasting future financial outcomes and evaluating investment opportunities.

• Gather and compile financial data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness for analysis and reporting purposes.

• Prepare and present financial reports, summaries, and findings to management, translating complex data into understandable insights for non-financial stakeholders.

• Conduct cost-benefit analysis for various projects and initiatives, identifying areas for cost reduction or process improvement.

• Monitor financial trends in the market and industry, staying abreast of economic developments that might impact the organization's financial performance.

• Provide strategic financial recommendations based on analysis and evaluation, suggesting improvements in financial processes and policies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including accounting, marketing, and operations, to gather data and gain insights into the overall business performance.

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, staying updated on accounting principles and industry best practices.

• Evaluate financial risks and propose strategies to mitigate potential losses, contributing to the organization's risk management efforts.

• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as required, addressing specific financial queries from management or stakeholders.

• Perform any relevant additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the immediate superior(s).


Authorities:

• Access to ERP System as per the approved user profile for the position.

• Monitoring of petty cash in line with the approved policy and procedures within the scope of responsibility.

• Access to file(s), document(s) and manual(s) within the scope of responsibility.

• Any other authorities delegated by the direct superior or stipulated in any executive directive or in the approved DoA matrix.


Key Results Areas:

• Accuracy of financial forecasts compared to actual results over a specific period, indicating their forecasting skills.

• Accuracy of budget predictions by analysing variances between the budgeted and actual figures.

• ROI for various projects or investments analysed by the Senior Financial Analyst, indicating their effectiveness in evaluating the profitability of investments.

• Analyse the gross margin ratio to assess the profitability of products or services, showcasing the analyst's ability to contribute to

• Efficiency of working capital management, analysing how effectively the analyst manages current assets and liabilities to ensure smooth operations.

• Measure the speed and accuracy of delivering financial reports, ensuring timely insights for decision-making processes.

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, economics, Finance or any related field.

Experience:

  • 5-6 years of relevant experience preferably in a related industry.

Professional Training:

  • The attainment of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), certification is a plus.


Additional requirements:

  • Knowledge of international Finance standards and protocols, as well as local regulatory requirements.
  • Time management skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Data gathering & analysis skills.
  • Good communication/ interpretation skills.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under deadline.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
