Roles & Responsibilities


Job Purpose
The Senior Finance Manager will play a critical role in managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes. Based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the position involves overseeing budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow management to support strategic decision-making and operational excellence. The Senior Finance Manager will also ensure adherence to regulatory standards and contribute to the optimization of financial resources, enabling the company to achieve its business objectives in the competitive investment banking sector.

Duties and responsibilities
Your specific duties and responsibilities will include:
Strategic Financial Management
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the firm s overall objectives.
  • Oversee financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the executive management team.
  • Analyze financial data to drive profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and risk management policies in KSA.
Regulatory Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure adherence to Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) regulations and international financial standards (IFRS).
  • Monitor and implement changes in financial laws, including Capital Market Authority (CMA) requirements.
  • Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with KSA regulations and work with internal / external auditors by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Maintain strong internal controls, policies and procedures to prevent financial risks and fraud.
  • Oversee tax planning and ensure compliance with Zakat, VAT, and corporate tax regulations.
Investment & Treasury Management
  • Manage capital structure and optimize funding strategies.
  • Oversee investment decisions, ensuring alignment with risk appetite and return objectives.
  • Monitor liquidity management and cash flow optimization.
  • Conduct financial modeling to assess investment opportunities.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Understand transfer pricing policies and procedures and non-interest expenses.
  • Ensure proper support and presentation for all balances, including reconciliation of cash and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Monitor economic trends and their impact on investment banking operations.
  • Present financial insights to stakeholders, including board members and investors.
Risk Management & Internal Controls
  • Identify financial risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) regulations.
  • Work with risk and compliance teams to enhance financial controls.
Leadership & Team Management
  • Foster collaboration between finance, investment, and operational teams.
  • Develop financial training programs for junior team members.
  • Enhance financial systems and automation for efficiency.
  • Provide financial advice and support to management in the matters of accounting, tax, payroll, statutory issues.
  • Assist accounts payable with any payment-related queries (e.g. vendor set-up, vendor queries, timely payment of regulatory fees, etc.).
Skills and Experience
Experience (is essential to any successful application)
At least 10 years industry experience in a similar role.
Degree in Finance, Economics or similar and ideally a postgraduate (MBA Preferred).
Professional Accounting Qualification essential such as CA, CPA, CFA or CMA
Skills
Strong oral and written communication skills, including effectively interacting at all levels within the firm and regulators.
Motivated self-starter with demonstrable ability to work independently and problem solve.
Proven ability to build partnerships and collaborate with team members and regulators.
Demonstrable organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to motivate and lead employees and hold them accountable.
