Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of all tax and related accounting records on jurisdictional and/or entity basis.
  • Prepare reconciliations of General Ledger indirect tax accounts on a monthly basis. Prepare and submit WHT, VAT, and Service Tax returns to satisfy all legislative reporting requirements and arrange payment of all amounts falling due in the respective jurisdictions.
  • Prepare and suggest tax deductions certificates, Challan for with-holding taxes paid, employee tax returns and sundry reporting in support of departmental activities.
  • Ability to organize workload and supervise a small team of qualified and part qualified accountants.
  • Verify, allocate, post and reconcile journal entries in the system and ensure accuracy of data Prepare timely and accurate internal and external accounting and reporting deliverables Record transactions to the GL through relevant systems (e.g. FAME, Asset Module, Payroll Journal)
  • Leading system reviews and implementation.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of Building Materials experience in finance and accounting.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills Strong communications skills (written and verbal)
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Experienced in the creation and automation of management reports
  • Experienced in collections and consolidation of variance and industry financial analysis
