Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of an integrated Operational Readiness Plan aligned with IAEA safety standards, licensing conditions, and project schedule milestones.
- Analyse the Customer s responsibilities under the EPC contract and regulatory framework and map them to operational functions.
- Identify and define all O&M functions, including staffing requirements, roles, and responsibilities within the Owner s proposed organisation.
- Conduct a gap analysis of the current organisational structure and functional readiness, particularly regarding operations, systems engineering, maintenance, work control, radiation protection, and outage planning.
- Advise on the recruitment, qualification, licensing, and certification needs of operational staff.
- Contribute to the skills and training needs assessment for operational and maintenance personnel and advise on program structure and implementation.
- Develop and review requirements for equipment, tools, maintenance systems, spare parts, consumables, and technical resources, including software and hardware necessary for effective operations.
- Monitor compliance with international codes and local licensing obligations.
- Support the Customer in building robust O&M processes, including technical specifications, plant startup procedures, operational limits and conditions, and event and condition reporting systems.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 20 years experience in nuclear power plant operations, including at least 10 years in senior plant or corporate leadership roles (Senior Manager, Plant Manager, Director/Vice O&M, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in pre-commissioning and startup phases of nuclear power plants.
- Extensive knowledge of international nuclear regulatory frameworks (IAEA, WANO, INPO).
- Experience in organising and managing training and qualification programs for licensed operators and maintenance staff.
- Prior experience in projects in the Middle East or working with newly established operators is an advantage.
- Advanced degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
