Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the direct supervision of all assigned Technician(s), Electrical within the Electronics Workshop.
  • Ensure that all general electronic, navigation and optronic assembly, subassembly and/or component maintenance inspections, servicing, rebuilds, overhauls and repairs are accomplished in accordance with all technical manuals, KPIs and OEM specifications.
  • Perform quality maintenance repairs as part of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System program.
  • Oversee and perform general electronic, navigation and optronic assembly, subassembly and/or component maintenance inspections to determine the extent of repair and spare parts requirements.
  • Assist in the development of general electronic, navigation and optronic CM job plans.
  • Assist in the enforcement of all maintenance directives within the Electronics Workshop.
  • Oversee and perform general electronic, navigation and optronic s assembly, subassembly and/or component repairs using special tools, diagnostic equipment and/or test benches.
  • Oversee and replace a variety of relays, regulators, control boxes, switches, diodes, modules, printed circuit boards etc. outfitted to a variety of general electronic, navigation and optronic assemblies, subassemblies and/or components.
  • Oversee, inspect, troubleshoot, repair and test a variety of general electronic, navigation and optronic assemblies such as optical sights, vision devices, compasses and night vision devices.
  • Oversee and perform general electronic, navigation and optronic assembly, subassembly and/or component spare parts research to ensure that only required spare parts are requisitioned in the appropriate quantities.
  • Complete maintenance related documentation such as maintenance tasks accomplished, direct labour hours consumed, vehicle specific information, spare part request forms, etc.
  • Comply with all safety, housekeeping and environmental directives.
  • Ensure all issued tools, test equipment and high-value property is maintained in a serviceable condition, routinely inventoried and safeguarded.
  • Monitor and train all Technician(s), Electrical on a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure repairs are executed as planned.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company information.
  • Support other members of the Electronics Workshop in fulfilling their roles.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Manager, Electronics Workshop.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience performing general electronics assembly, subassembly and/or component repair is required.
  • A minimum of one year in a supervisory position is required.
  • Previous experience or electrical/electronics training is an advantage.
  • The ability to interpret complex electrical and/or mechanical schematics is preferred.
  • Previous experience using state-of-the-art diagnostic testing equipment is an advantage.
  • Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office software and SAP is preferred.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is required.
  • Have, or be able to obtain both a valid UAE driver’s and forklift license.
