Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Conduct site assessments and coordinate electrical installations with other engineering disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards in all electrical designs and installations.
- Oversee testing and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems, providing technical guidance as needed.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including electrical schematics, as-built drawings, and specifications.
- Mentor and train junior engineers and site personnel in electrical engineering practices and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with project management teams to monitor project progress and provide electrical engineering input on timelines and budgets.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically in water and wastewater projects.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or the ability to obtain within a specified timeframe is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design software and tools, including AutoCAD and ETAP.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as IEEE, NEC, and IEC regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on analytical thinking and innovation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
