Roles & Responsibilities

The project:

This is an opportunity to be involved in the delivery of major sports stadiums and associated projects in Saudi Arabia. Mace is currently delivering the programme which will require high-calibre and experienced people to lead teams throughout each phase of the project.

You ll be responsible for:

  • Prepares and manages contract documentation, including warranties, bonds, and licenses, and facilitates formal execution by relevant parties.
  • Provides expert guidance on contract administration, ensuring compliance with terms for construction works and service agreements.
  • Conducts valuations and manages variations, ensuring accurate cost adjustments in line with contract terms and agreement with contractors.
  • Implements robust cost control and reporting, overseeing monthly post-contract cost reports and presenting financial insights to clients.
  • Evaluates claims and financial impacts, including delays, design changes, and additional costs from contractors and suppliers.
  • Manages completion and defect processes, advising on certificates of practical completion, making good defects, and final account settlements.
  • Leads and develops a team of professionals, providing coaching, performance management, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Builds strategic relationships and influences stakeholders, contributing to business transformation and supporting net zero carbon transition goals.

Desired Candidate Profile

Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have relevant work experience working on high valued projects/ programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.

Degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent).

Professional membership or working towards i.e. MRICS/RICS, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.

Experience in business development.

Developed commercial and financial acumen.

Knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction.

Experience leading parts of projects within large, diverse teams.

Developing experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
