Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Ensure all HSSE and other relevant OQ policies and standards, statutory requirements are complied with throughout pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, performance testing/guarantee run and handover phases.

  • Manage contractors ORA & CSU teams and resources ensuring that all project ORA & CSU assignments, tasks and deliverables are accomplished.
  • Provide trainees coaching and sites training supports.
  • Regularly communicate project ORA & CSU status, challenges, achievements, deviations, changes to project management team and subordinates. Address action plans and way forwards as appropriate.
  • Ensure that ORA & CSU project activities and related deliverables are incorporated into overall projects schedule. Maintain and monitor progress of all C&SU phases (Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, Start-Up, Performance/Guarantee Run & Handover) against the overall project schedule in coordination with project teams and EPCC contractors.
  • Provide technical advisory support to project, engineering, procurement, construction, interface, HSSE and asset owners teams whenever required.
  • Ensure that asset owners are engaged into various project phases capturing and delivering agreed O & M expectations and requirements.
  • Ensure that C&SU phases are executed flawlessly and that projects are handed over to the asset owner whilst maintaining business continuity and steady operations.
  • Engage into projects SGR s review cycles ensuring that all related actions are concluded and that updated project operating philosophy is available and approved.
  • Ensure that Right First Time (RFT) programs are implemented across all applicable projects in coordination with Quality department.
  • Ensure that means of ORA & CSU activities tracking and reporting system is implemented for all individual projects in form of dashboards.
  • Ensure that projects risk s workshops and lesson learns sessions are implemented and that all outcome related actions are followed up and closed.
  • Manage the day-to-day C&SU activities of the project at sites with contractor team.
  • Ensure that all projects certificates are signed off as appropriate for all phases. This includes all pre-requisites fulfilments.
  • Ensure that commissioning management system software is being utilized in projects and that systemization procedure, ITR s/check sheets are being utilized for traceability purposes.
  • Ensure the readiness of performing projects PSSR s and that all ORA & CSU actions are closed out as appropriate.
  • Ensure that all project contractual obligations are delivered. This includes operating manuals, SOP s, vendor documentations, specific procedures, special tools/equipment s, trainings, etc
  • Ensure the on-site availability of all required consumables (first fill), temporaries, and commissioning/start-up/operating spares and ensure utilities and feedstock are made available before the issuance of RFSU certificate.
  • Ensure that all relevant HSSE, process safety and integrity technical studies requirements are captured in FEED and EPCC contract scopes.
  • Manage all project interfaces from C & SU prospectives.
  • Support in drafting, reviewing and accepting C & SU procedures.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum qualification for this position is a Bachelor's degree in Process/Chemical Engineering.
  • Have an overall +15 experiences in operations, process and C & SU activities.
  • Possesses solid technical experience in C & SU activities for similar related projects.
  • Have project engineering practices, interface and construction backboard experiences.
  • Possess technical abilities to review and draft C&SU procedures, plans, philosophies, preparing presentations, etc
  • Knowledge of operational and engineering best practices.
  • Good knowledge of CMS and PSSR.
  • Computer knowledge in MS Office applications like MS Word, MS excel etc.
  • Leadership and people management skills.
  • Possess analytical thinking.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • English Language strong communication, verbal and written skills.
  • Presentation and Coaching Skills.
    • Ability to work in a diverse culture.
    • Should be able to work at site in generally harsh climatic conditions.
