The Senior Buyer plays a strategic role in driving procurement excellence by developing and implementing category-specific buying plans in collaboration with the functional head. This position ensures seamless procurement operations through effective vendor identification, qualification, negotiation, and selection all aligned with the company’s contract principles and financial objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in indirect procurement within the leisure industry (e.g., hotels, restaurant chains, resorts), UAE market experience (preferably Abu Dhabi), and a proven record in process improvement initiatives. Strong leadership, communication, and technical competencies are essential to thrive in this role.

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for assigned categories to meet operational and financial targets.
• Process and expedite purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Obtain and compare vendor price quotes, specifications, and product availability to ensure optimal purchasing decisions.
• Ensure all procurement activities (goods, services, equipment, etc.) adhere to company policies, approval matrix (DOA), and timelines.
• Identify and implement cost-saving and value-add opportunities.
• Lead vendor meetings, evaluate suppliers for quality, capability, and reliability, and maintain an up-to-date vendor database.
• Conduct thorough research on products, suppliers, and market trends to support informed decision-making.
• Maintain professional and courteous relationships with all vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor supplier performance against key metrics, initiate corrective actions, and mitigate business risks.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries through accurate order handling and proactive follow-ups.
• Review purchase requisitions and orders for completeness, compliance, and proper approvals.
• Resolve vendor and internal department inquiries, discrepancies, and complaints effectively.
• Analyze price fluctuations and initiate vendor changes where necessary to optimize procurement efficiency.
• Follow corporate procurement guidelines, especially when sourcing from preferred or corporate-approved suppliers.
• Collaborate on cross-functional procurement projects and provide support across departments as needed.
