Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and construction details, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design intent and building codes.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate design elements and resolve any technical issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Produce 3D models and renderings to visualize designs and communicate them effectively to clients and project teams, enhancing understanding and facilitating decision-making.
  • Manage and maintain drawing revisions and updates, ensuring all project documentation is current and reflects the latest design changes and approvals.
  • Oversee the work of junior draughtsmen, providing guidance, mentorship, and quality control to ensure the team's deliverables meet the required standards.
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, verify dimensions, and ensure construction aligns with the drawings, contributing to project quality.
  • Prepare and review technical specifications and material selections, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry best practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field, providing a strong foundation in architectural principles and design.
  • Holds relevant professional qualifications and certifications, such as a registered architect or architectural technologist, demonstrating professional competence.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 8 years of experience in architectural drafting and design, showcasing a proven track record in delivering successful projects.
  • Exhibits proficiency in using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant BIM software, reflecting technical expertise.
  • Has a deep understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction methods, ensuring compliance and project success.
  • Demonstrates strong communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective teamwork and stakeholder management.
  • Displays excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all deliverables.
