The Senior Architect role in Design & Development is crucial for the conceptualization, design, and execution of our different types of projects: residential, commercial, medical buildings, etc. They will translate client needs
and briefs into innovative, functional architectural designs, ensuring code and standard compliance. This role involves close collaboration with internal and external teams throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to construction.Key ResponsibilitiesConceptual Design & Development:A senior architect is involved in all stages of the architectural process; from Concept, Schematic, Design Development, IFT (Issue for Tender) to IFC (Issue for Construction).Develop schematic designs, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and 3D visualizations.Explore and evaluate design options, materials, and technologies: Contribute to the development and implementation of design standards and best practices within the department.Act as a Project Design Manager by managing the design team during the process to ensure good quality, reasonable cost, and maintained time schedules.Technical Design & Documentation:Responsible for reviewing all architectural packages and doing the necessary coordination with other relevant teams: Structural, Interior Design, & Electro-Mechanical.Ensure designs comply with all relevant building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility standards.Collecting all requirements from other parties (Operator, EM, ) and ensure that all requirements are fulfilled in the submitted packagesResponsible to prepare the contracts annexes which will be added in the clients contracts.Responsible also to prepare all needed authorities documents (TDA) to get the requested permits.Project Management & Collaboration:Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Assist in the development of project schedules and budgets.Monitor design progress and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team during the build phase.Conduct site visits and inspections as required to ensure that work performed by contractors and subcontractors are according to the submitted design packages Assist the Project Manager team in resolving conflicts which may exists during the execution and reply effectively to all RFIs.Innovation & Best Practices:Stay up to date with current architectural trends, materials, and technologies.Participate in design reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.Generate innovative and creative design concepts, presentations, and feasibility studies.
