Roles & Responsibilities

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations and support the growing needs of our e-commerce business. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in online accounting systems and who understands the financial workflows of digital retail operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily journal entries, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Analyze order profitability and product-level margins based on data from online platforms.
  • Review supplier invoices and e-invoices issued through the online store.
  • Track and validate cost of goods sold (COGS) using inventory data from Zid and Salla.
  • Coordinate with marketing and operations to produce financial performance reports and business insights.
  • Reconcile payment gateway reports (e.g., Tabby, Tamara, credit cards, bank transfers) with accounting records.
  • Ensure alignment between warehouse stock movement and financial reporting.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 4 years accounting experience, preferably with exposure to e-commerce.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Zid, Salla, and Daftra is highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of online order cycles and digital retail operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate actionable financial insights.
  • Working knowledge of Saudi e-invoicing regulations and VAT compliance.
