Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:


We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Senior Accountant to oversee core financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing general ledger activities, preparing journal entries, monitoring accounts receivable, and supporting timely month-end closings. You will also handle sales tax reporting, assist in financial statement preparation, and collaborate with auditors to maintain transparency and accuracy. A strong command of ERP systems, financial regulations (particularly IFRS and VAT), and advanced Excel proficiency is essential. This role demands analytical thinking, integrity, and a commitment to excellence in financial management and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and post monthly journal entries and perform timely bank reconciliations.
Manage general ledger operations and ensure accuracy of all accounting transactions.
Monitor and follow up on accounts receivable to ensure timely collections and accurate aging reports.
Prepare and submit accurate sales tax returns in compliance with local tax laws and deadlines.
Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective solutions.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Assist in preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide required documentation.
Track daily cash flow and monitor financial obligations and commitments.
Ensure compliance with IFRS and company internal financial policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance; CMA or CPA is a strong advantage.
Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, including 2 years in a senior or lead role.
Strong working knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
Solid understanding of tax laws and financial reporting, especially related to sales tax/VAT.
Excellent command of Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
High integrity, professionalism, and team collaboration skills.
