Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Biology Teacher (Grades 7 12) is responsible for delivering high-quality Biology education that equips students with strong conceptual understanding, practical laboratory skills, and scientific thinking. The postholder will design and teach engaging lessons aligned with school s STEM-focused curriculum, incorporating hands-on experiments, inquiry-based learning, and real-world chemical applications. The teacher must possess strong content knowledge, effective classroom management skills, and the ability to support students across a range of abilities from foundational Biology in Grades 7 9 to advanced Biology concepts in Grades 10 12. They are expected to contribute to extracurricular STEM initiatives, uphold school values, and collaborate closely with colleagues to support student success.
Minimum Requirements:
- A Bachelor s degree in the relevant subject (Master s preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of teaching or lab experience
- Candidates below 50 years of age
- Experience in STEM-focused or innovative learning environments is an advantage

Subject Knowledge Strong understanding of Biology for grades 7 12 Expertise in advanced Biology topics (organic, analytical, environmental)
Teaching Skills Ability to deliver differentiated instruction and manage diverse learners Experience with PBL, flipped classrooms, or integrated STEM instruction
Laboratory Skills Proficiency in lab techniques, safety, and chemical handling Experience managing a full Biology laboratory
ICT Skills Competent with educational software, simulations, and LMS Experience with virtual labs, data loggers, or STEM software
Soft Skills Communication, collaboration, classroom management, problem-solving Leadership, competition coaching, curriculum design
Personal Attributes Professional, reliable, organized, and student-centered Passion for Biology outreach and STEM enrichment
Commitment Commitment to safeguarding and co-curricular involvement Experience with science fairs or student research supervision
