Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Sales Performance Management:

• Monitor daily sales activities and achievement of individual and team targets.

• Coach and motivate sales agents to maximize sales conversion.

• Prepare daily and weekly sales performance reports.

• Maintain a high-performance culture focused on results.

• Deliver and exceed the revenue, net profitability, and passenger budget for your portfolio of accounts. (CSS/SBT)

• Analyze daily and weekly sales performance vs. budget and put corrective actions and plans in place where needed.

• Productive and efficiently manage day-to-day work.

• Proactively identify and implement initiatives to exceed targets.


Customer Engagement & Brand Experience:

• Ensure excellent customer service and consistent brand presentation.

• Train sales team on customer handling, upselling, and objection management.

• Maintain uniform and grooming standards.


Sales Staff Management & Development:

• Preparing staff schedule and roster (weekly/monthly)

• supervise the street sales team.

• Conduct weekly staff briefing/performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions when necessary.

• Identify training needs and support continuous development.

• Preparing monthly staff sales performance vs last year’s month comparison reports.

• Provide timely sales reports and customer feedback to management.

• Suggest improvements based on sales trends and market observations.


On-Street Sales, Tools & Compliance Management:

• Implement and regularly monitor street sales fleet, kiosks, and staff performance to ensure operational excellence.

• Ensure all sales staff are equipped with fully functional POS devices (including Palisis hardware) and sufficient battery provision to avoid sales disruption.

• Manage POS hardware issues promptly to maintain smooth sales operations.

• Monitor stock levels of sales materials and office supplies to prevent shortages.

• Oversee accurate cash handling and transaction recording, ensuring compliance with company policies and audit standards.

• Collaborate closely with Revenue Inspector to prevent revenue leakage, identify risks, eliminate fraud, and lead investigations and disciplinary actions when necessary.

• Conduct regular checks on sales kiosks and locations to maintain cleanliness, readiness, and professional presentation.

• Identify high footfall areas and recommend effective deployment of sales staff to maximize sales opportunities.


Brand Management:

• Be a brand ambassador for Sharjah Boats & City Sightseeing Sharjah Tours/Shurooq.

• Regular check if the staff is following the uniform code correctly. (Winter/Summer

uniform).


Leadership & Communications:

• Lead, inspire, and motivate the operational team effectively to create engagement and delivery of best possible City Sightseeing Sharjah result.

• Use a proactive approach, and positive and enthusiastic communication style, to deliver the Sharjah Boats & City Sightseeing Sharjah goals.

• Keep the team in the communication loop on key issues, and create a culture of continuous improvement.

• Act as a role model, setting the performance bar high for direct reports, and their teams, to deliver under pressure and to meet important deadlines

• Team development: A proactive approach to team development, including coaching and training.

• Ensure strong succession planning is in place for future health of business.

• Leadership and coordination of regular Staff meetings, with clear minutes and actions.

• Act as key member of the overall City Sightseeing Sharjah leadership team.

• Reporting on market activity and proactive recommendations on changes as needed to compete to line manager/Head of City Sightseeing Sharjah.


Knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of street sales techniques and customer service.

• Familiarity with local Sharjah market and tourism sector.

• Understanding of POS systems and cash handling processes.

• Understanding of Duty and budget management.

• Knowledge of the legal responsibilities of a boat and bus transport organization.


Skills:

• Ability to “flex and pivot” quickly and effectively depending on the strategy and requirements of the business.

• Strong team leadership and motivational skills.

• Strong communicator.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels of the business, from the most junior to the most senior.

• Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines with flexible working hours.

• A thought leader – up-to-date with the most relevant industry issues.

• Fluent in English. Others language will be an advantage.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).



Desired Candidate Profile

• Minimum 6-12 years’ sales experience with at least 4 years in a supervisory role.

• Experience in outdoor/on-street sales preferred.

• Background in tourism, hospitality or customer service is an advantage.

• Operations experience.

• Proven experience in managing teams within fast moving customer focused environment.

• UAE Driver's License is required.
