Job Description
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Buyer with minimum sales experience to be responsible for selecting and purchasing quality products for our Marine business. His responsibilities will include, receiving inquiries from our Marine Clients, locating & negotiating with suppliers, issuing & processing purchase orders, tracking orders, creating and maintaining an inventory, quality assurance and liaising with operations team to deliver the required items to clients. The buyer /Sales Rep will work with staff across departments to forecast the needs of the business and make purchase decisions based on client s demand.
The Buyer / Sales Rep should be analytically minded and possess excellent negotiating skills to secure the best prices according to customer s requirements. Minimum knowledge of sales and marketing principles is required.
Responsibilities:
- Research, select and purchase quality products and materials.
- Build relationships with clients & suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.
- Receive Customers inquiries & Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.
- Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
- Arrange transport of goods to clients and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
- Coordinate with inventory team, management, and stockroom as required.
- Assess quality of products received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in business (Supply Chain Emphasis is Recommended).
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in Marine operations is preferred.
- Territory Location is Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).
- Proficient in appropriate software (ERP)
- Critical thinking and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
