A Sales Promoter plays a pivotal role in the marketing and sales strategy of a company by enhancing product visibility and increasing sales volumes. Typically placed at strategic locations like shopping malls, supermarkets, or during events, a Sales Promoter s main function is to engage potential customers, demonstrate product features, and persuade consumers to make a purchase. Their ability to communicate effectively and build strong connection with consumers can directly impact the sales figures and overall success of a product line. With advanced knowledge about the products they promote, Sales Promoters must possess a high degree of professionalism, enthusiasm, and persuasive skills. A position such as this requires individuals who are not only self-motivated but also adept at meeting sales targets while maintaining the company's reputation.


Responsibilities
  • Engage with potential customers to promote products effectively and persuasively.
  • Demonstrate product features and benefits to influence purchasing decisions.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the product s functionality.
  • Manage promotional stands or areas including arranging displays properly.
  • Monitor stock levels of promotional products and replenish them as necessary.
  • Report feedback from customers to inform marketing strategies and product improvements.
  • Cooperate with the sales team to reach predefined sales targets and quotas.
  • Ensure all promotional materials remain in excellent condition and presentable.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide input to improve sales techniques and outcomes.
  • Keep track of competitors' promotional tactics to better position the product offerings.
  • Generate daily or weekly reports capturing the number of promotions and sales achieved.
  • Handle customer complaints and questions in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a sales promoter or in another promotional role.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand clients' needs and handle different types of personalities.
  • Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record in sales.
  • Flexibility to work in various locations and work conditions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in marketing or related field is a plus.
