Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Inventory warehouse :

  • Receive incoming printouts, verify their contents against purchase order, inspect books for any damages, missing pages, or quality issues.
  • Safely and securely store books in designated areas within the warehouse, organizing according to ages and series.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including regular cleaning, dusting, and shelving maintenance.
  • Perform regular stock counts and cycle counting to maintain accurate inventory records for books.
  • Update inventory management systems or software with accurate stock levels, book details, locations, and any relevant information.
  • Monitor inventory levels of books and collaborate with the purchasing team to coordinate stock replenishment based on demand and sales forecasts.
  • Conduct periodic quality checks to ensure books are in good condition, properly labeled, and ready for order fulfillment.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies between physical stock and system records, investigating root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Receive and process customer orders for books, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Verify order details, including book titles, quantities, and special instructions, to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
  • Prepare shipping documents, including invoices, packing slips, and shipping labels, and coordinate with the logistics team to schedule outbound shipments.
  • Maintain accurate records of all book-related warehouse activities, including receipts, shipments, inventory adjustments, and any relevant documentation.
  • Generate regular reports on book inventory levels.

Sales Logistics

  • Receiving queries from clients, well understand their needs.
  • Determining the rate of discount, contacting and negotiating with forwarders to get the best freight rate.
  • Sending proforma invoices to the client with the shipping cost if any, then the invoice in case of confirming the order.
  • Ensuring good packaging to meet our customer needs.
  • Tracking shipments till delivering to the destination.
  • Registration at the sites of international fairs, following up payments, visa s and adding our titles to their site.
  • Identifying items for participating in international fairs, following up the preparing of the order with our warehouse to ensure the delivery to the shipper at the right time
  • Preparing list of prices to the international fairs with the required discount according to the currency of each country.
  • Preparing the order of school fairs along with the promotions available.
  • Following up the returns from international fairs, school fairs and clients.

Skills and requirement:

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to engage with clients and close deals.
  • Ability to explain product features clearly and persuasively.
  • Customer service orientation with problem-solving ability.
  • Attention to detail to detect discrepancies or damages in stock.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (tables, formulas, pivot charts) or similar tools.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Logistics, or a related field (preferred). Or equivalent qualification acceptable with relevant experience.
