Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations of metal cutting machine tools, showcasing their capabilities to prospective clients.
  • Analyze customer manufacturing processes and provide tailored solutions, recommending the most suitable machine tools and accessories to meet their needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within customer organizations, fostering trust and loyalty.
  • Prepare detailed technical proposals and quotations, including accurate pricing, specifications, and delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify leads, contributing to the achievement of sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Provide technical training and support to customers on machine operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in metal cutting technology, including new products, software, and industry trends.
  • Conduct on-site machine tool evaluations and performance assessments, providing expert recommendations for improvement and optimization.
  • Participate in industry trade shows and conferences, representing the company and promoting its products to a wider audience.
  • Manage and resolve customer technical issues, working closely with service and engineering teams to ensure prompt and effective solutions.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in sales engineering within the metal cutting machine tool industry.
  • Exhibits a proven track record of successfully selling and supporting CNC machine tools and related equipment.
  • Displays exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Possesses strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, capable of identifying and resolving technical challenges effectively.
  • Exhibits a strong understanding of machine tool applications, including milling, turning, and grinding processes.
  • Demonstrates fluency in both written and spoken English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Demonstrates a proactive and results-oriented approach, with a strong drive to achieve sales targets and customer satisfaction.
