Roles & Responsibilities

Business Unit Leadership & Strategy

  • Define and execute the overall sales strategy for the business unit in alignment with company goals.
  • Establish business plans, annual sales targets.
  • Monitor BU performance, identify risks/opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive profitability by optimizing pricing strategies, sales processes, and resource allocation.

Sales & Market Development

  • Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to enter high-potential segments.
  • Expand the company s presence across the related industries.
  • Oversee negotiation and closing of major deals with key customers and distributors.
  • Ensure sales pipeline health through proactive prospecting and lead management.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with strategic clients and partners.
  • Act as the escalation point for key customer issues and ensure timely resolutions.
  • Conduct regular customer business reviews to identify growth and upselling opportunities.
  • Enhance customer loyalty and retention by providing tailored solutions and excellent service

Market Analysis & Reporting:

  • Track market dynamics, competitor actions, and customer insights to guide business decisions.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and market intelligence to senior management.
  • Recommend portfolio adjustments and business development initiatives based on analysis.

Collaboration with Internal Teams:

  • Work closely with marketing to ensure alignment between sales strategies and material offerings.
  • Provide feedback regarding customer needs and potential improvements in the related material portfolio.
  • Collaborate with marketing to create effective sales collateral, promotional materials, and campaigns to drive sales of related materials.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to maximize performance and motivation.
  • Provide training on sales techniques, product knowledge, and market trends.
  • Foster a performance-driven culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and results.
  • Align team goals with business objectives and ensure consistent achievement of targets.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

  • Bachelor s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, Science, Chemicals, or a related field. A master s degree or advanced certifications are a plus.
  • Master s degree or advanced certifications are an advantage.
Relevant Work Experience & Credentials
  • Minimum 10 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the BU industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a portfolio of materials and achieving sales targets.

Knowledge,

  • Strong understanding of B2B sales, account management, and business development.
  • Knowledge of market trends, customer purchasing behaviors, and competitor landscape.
