Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth/business development, profitability and customer retention within the assigned territory or customer portfolio. The role focuses on developing new opportunities, managing key customer relationships and supporting sales of industrial, specialty, medical and food-grade gases through technical and commercial engagement. The position works closely with operations, technical teams, and senior sales leadership to deliver a consistent and high-quality customer experience.
1.Territory & Account Management
- Achieve sales and profitability targets across assigned accounts and geographic areas.
- Develop annual and quarterly account plans with clear goals, pricing actions, and growth priorities
- Manage day-to-day relationships with industrial, specialty, medical, and food-grade gas customers
- Identify share-of-wallet opportunities and grow business within existing accounts
2. Business Development & Pipeline Growth
- Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities across industrial, specialty, medical, and food-grade gas applications (packaging, MAP, beverage carbonation, freezing/chilling, etc.)
- Maintain strong pipeline coverage and update all sales activity, opportunities, and forecasts in CRM with high accuracy
- Conduct regular customer visits, product demonstrations, and needs assessments to position the right solutions
- Track win/loss outcomes and collaborate with senior sales team members to improve conversion rates
3. Technical & Application Support
- Provide foundational technical support across industrial, specialty, medical, and food-grade gases (purity levels, certifications, supply modes).
- Support customer understanding of purity classes, food safety standards, COA/COC, and compliance with food-grade regulations (e.g., EIGA/ISO standards for food gases)
- Coordinate with Senior Sales Account Managers or Technical/R&D teams for advanced technical or application-specific requirements
- Collect customer feedback to support product improvement and new application development
4. Tendering & Commercial Proposals
- Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and commercial offers aligned with pricing guidelines
- Support complex tenders by gathering customer requirements, technical specifications, and pricing inputs
- Ensure adherence to approved pricing corridors, purity specifications, and commercial terms
5. Customer Experience & Retention
- Conduct routine business reviews for key accounts and escalate issues when needed
- Work closely with Operations to ensure reliable product supply and OTIF delivery, including food-grade handling requirements
- Monitor customer satisfaction and support actions to improve service and retention
6. Collections & Credit Control
- Monitor credit exposure and support timely collection of outstanding receivables.
- Address disputes, coordinate with finance teams, and support actions to improve DSO and overdue performance
7. SHEQ & Compliance
- Promote safety, health, environmental, and quality standards, including food-grade compliance requirements
- Ensure adherence to company policies, ethical selling practices, and relevant regulatory frameworks
8. Collaboration & Sales Enablement
- Align with Senior Sales Account Managers on segment strategies for industrial, specialty, medical, and food-grade gases
- Share market insights on competitors, pricing, customer behavior, food-grade demand shifts, and regulatory updates
- Support marketing campaigns, product launches, and segment-specific promotion
Desired Skills

- Knowledge of industrial, specialty, medical, and food-grade gases
- Familiarity with food-grade applications (MAP packaging, beverage CO₂, chilling/freezing, inerting) is a strong advantage

- Customer-centric mindset and problem-solving ability
- Experience in GCC industrial gases or related industries is an added advantage
- Bachelor's degree required in Engineering preferred with high technical/mechanical aptitude
