Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement safety training programs tailored to the specific needs of employees in various operational roles.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety through effective communication and engagement strategies.
  • Maintain detailed safety records and documentation, ensuring they are up to date and accessible for audits and inspections.
  • Oversee the proper use and maintenance of safety equipment, ensuring that all personnel are trained on its correct usage.
  • Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics, providing regular reports to management on progress and areas for improvement.
  • Lead emergency response drills and preparedness initiatives to equip staff with the skills needed to handle critical situations.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes to continually refine safety policies and procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between workers and management to address safety concerns and promote a safe working environment.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 3-5 years of hands-on safety management experience in an industrial or construction environment.
  • Experience with risk assessment methodologies and accident investigation techniques is essential.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities to influence and motivate staff towards achieving high safety standards.
  • Proficiency in using safety management software and tools to streamline reporting and documentation processes.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey safety practices and foster a culture of safety across teams.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret safety data and develop actionable insights for improving safety performance.
  • Fluency in English is required, with additional language skills being a strong advantage, especially in multilingual workplaces.
