SAFETY OFFICER

KILONEWTONS is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented SAFETY OFFICER to join our site operations team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across all project activities.

Key Responsibilities

As a SAFETY OFFICER, your role will include but not be limited to:

• Implementing and enforcing safety policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations and KILONEWTONS standards.
• Conducting regular site inspections and audits to identify risks and ensure mitigation plans are in place.
• Leading toolbox talks, safety training sessions, and emergency drills.
• Investigating incidents, near-misses, and recommending corrective actions.
• Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports and documentation.
• Collaborating with engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to promote a safe working environment.
• Ensuring personal protective equipment (PPE) compliance and proper use.
• Monitoring the use and maintenance of safety equipment.

Required Skills & Software Proficiency

To thrive in this role, you must be proficient in:

• Occupational Health & Safety standards (ISO 45001, OSHA, NEBOSH or equivalent)
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint for reporting and documentation)
• Incident Management Software (e.g., Safesite, iAuditor, SafetyCulture preferred)
• Risk assessment and hazard identification techniques
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Arabian labor and safety laws
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a strong plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor s Degree in Safety Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in construction or infrastructure projects.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification is mandatory.
• First Aid, Fire Safety, or Emergency Response certifications are advantageous.
