Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites and facilities to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and deliver safety training sessions and toolbox talks for employees, contractors, and site visitors.
  • Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending preventive measures.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, training, and compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to integrate safety best practices into daily operations.
  • Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety devices.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture by encouraging hazard reporting and employee engagement in safety initiatives.
  • Assist in the development and review of emergency response plans and participate in emergency drills.
  • Stay updated on new safety regulations, technologies, and industry trends to continuously improve safety standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a safety coordination or similar role, preferably within the construction or infrastructure sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Egyptian and international safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and engage diverse teams.
  • Proven ability to conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to safety challenges.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing site conditions and project requirements.
